Joseph Austin to Cleveland, Ohio
Joseph, who inherited the red brick house near Pleasant View cemetery built by his father John (son of Ambrose) together with his son Daniel and family moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the late 1800s.

Susanna Austen to Oregon
Susanna Austen, daughter of Charles Austen and Sarah Pearce, married John Grubbs in 1832. He owned a carpenter's shop in Pittsburgh PA which they operated for about 9 years until a recession and lack of business forced him to close. They left Pittsburgh in 1841, trading their large brick house for a new house in Niles, MI, and a nearby sawmill. John again took up the carpentry trade and his younger brother, David, operated the sawmill. But sickness in the family in the form of Malaria from the large number of lakes and marshes in the area forced them to again sell up and move on. In March 1852 John, with sons Frank, Cloud, and Elliott and his brother David and his son William left Niles for St Joseph where they purchased oxen and a milk cow and joined an emigration train bound for Oregon the following month.

The train arrived in Portland over the Barlow route in October 1852; John
continued up the Willamette Valley and David located in King's valley west of Corvallis.

Susanna and the rest of the family went back to Bakerstown, PA with her father Charles where they stayed for two years before journeying to Oregon in 1854 via steamer to Panama, mule train to Panama City and steamer to Portland and then by (bullock?) team to join up her husband John and sons.

Wayne Lincoln Austin to Wyoming
When a young man Wayne contracted pneumonia and an infected lung had to be removed. For his health he was advised to move to where the air was "lighter". His older sister Stella, was married to an oil driller, ----- Morgan, working in Wyoming. He decided to follow and got a job in the field office. On his retirement, he moved to Mesa in Arizona.
